A New DirectionWell sales on this site for the past five or so years has
been dismal, to say the least. It's getting some traffic, most sales have been my own purchases from Bike Nasbar, The Soda
Club, Gelluminations, Amazon, NetFlix etc. Hardly any sales from visitors to SmalMart. I joined several Traffic Exchanges
last year, hits shot way up, but no new sales. I dumped all those exchanges a couple months ago.
So I'm at a crossroads,
shut the thing down, spend a bunch of money on search engine placement, redesign the whole thing yet again, leave it alone
or do something different.
Time to do something different. Take a look my attempt at a daily blog, A Day In The Life
of Little Dickie Small. It's found at the
A Day in the Life. tab on
the left.
My first happy report is that my son-in-law Sgt. Alan Crout has returned home from 13 month deployment in
Iraq. Yippee! Alan is a Medic and may be stationed in Ft Lewis, WA by the end of the year. That would be great, Ft. Lewis
in only 30 miles from where my brother lives and a short plane ride for us here in the SF Bay Area. We'd get to see them,
Zachary and Catie more often.
On another note, daughter Stephanie and her family will be moved back to the SF Bay in
mid-August. Stephanie will be attending Samuel Merritt School of Nursing, she's working toward a Master's Degree in Nursing
to be a Nurse Anesthetist, very exciting.
I'll have tabs for the various personal and family events as they occur.
First off I did a 6 day bicycle tour of the Oregon Coast with 6 other friends in May 2008. If you're interested pay a visit
to a blog highlighting the events of that trip. Go to
Oregon Coast
Bike Ride.Rosemary and I then took a 24 day trip to the Maritime Islands, Newfoundland and Labrador, what a great
trip. I'll get some pictures and highlights of that trip up in the next few days.
While Rosemary takes her women's
travel group to
Italy in September, I'll be on yet
another bicycle ride in Oregon, this time with 2000 of my closest friends on the
Cycle
Oregon Annual Ride. I'll have pictures and news about that ride up sometime in September or early October.
That's
it for now, look at the tabs in the left for new postings about our doings.
